In March 1949,Mitsugu Tanabe founded TANABE MERIYASU in Fukui,Japan, starting with 3 knitting machines in a small room. Jackman’s sewing plant now has over 60 years history. It has the modern machineries as well as old and specialised sewing machines such as “Union Special” and “REECE”.

The company has won many awards in Japan along side being one of the offical suppliers of the Japanese national team for Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964.

Fade Silver Faded Sweat Parka

A Hooded sweatshirt made of fleece material knitted using an old–fashioned Azuma knitting machine. Old–style knitting machines cannot be set numerically and require a lot of maintenance, but the fabrics that are knitted by skilled craftsmen using their sense of touch and accumulated techniques create a classic look. The sweat is dyed with Pigment Bio after sewing to create the same 1970s atmosphere as the era of the knitting machines, creating a unique unevenness and fade effect. The design is a loose design and separate pockets from the 1974s, when there were many athletic–style designs.
