Samurai Jeans was established in Osaka in 1998 based on the concept that jeans ultimately have no value unless the creator and wearer are united in their commitment. They strive to create fabrics with unique texture and atmosphere, pushing the envelope of what is possible with denim by paying close attention to the provenance of the cotton types they use, their characteristics, the shape of the threads they spin, while also striving to use traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving techniques rather than the more modern and generic methods found elsewhere. Navy Twisted Heather Selvedge Chambray Shirt SJCBS23
Spec: 6oz selvedge colour chambray fabric / One wash
A work shirt made of twisted heathered selvedge chambray fabric. The fabric is 6oz twisted heather colour chambray fabric with selvedges. The shirt has asymmetrical pockets that are typical of vintage shirts, and has three piece sleeve. In addition to the hem gusset and lower front edge, selvedge is also applied to the inside of the sleeves. The sewing uses Kinari cotton thread, and the main stitch is a strong 3–stitch wrapping stitch, they have carefully chosen the use of thick and thin threads, the width of 2–stitch stitches, and the proper use of needle movement to give each part a distinct feel. In addition, the three stitches that go into the sleeves from the sides have a unique design that exposes the chain stitches. The button uses a two–hole resin button shaped like an abacus.
