In March 1949,Mitsugu Tanabe founded TANABE MERIYASU in Fukui,Japan, starting with 3 knitting machines in a small room. Jackman’s sewing plant now has over 60 years history. It has the modern machineries as well as old and specialised sewing machines such as “Union Special” and “REECE”.
The company has won many awards in Japan along side being one of the offical suppliers of the Japanese national team for Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964.
This cotton jersey material having twice the threads of a regular one and tightly woven knitting gives the parka its uniquely comfortable feeling of crisp firmness when worn.
This parka was developed with consideration given to long–term wear as well as to design, sewing method and material by loop–wheel knitting machine.
