In March 1949,Mitsugu Tanabe founded TANABE MERIYASU in Fukui,Japan, starting with 3 knitting machines in a small room. Jackman’s sewing plant now has over 60 years history. It has the modern machineries as well as old and specialised sewing machines such as “Union Special” and “REECE”.
The company has won many awards in Japan along side being one of the offical suppliers of the Japanese national team for Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964.

The slowness of the loop–wheeler packs the weave evenly and prevents distortion and shrinkage even after repeated wear and washing. Loose silhouette inspired by the style of top worn by Baseball team owners in the 1940s. Straight hem and cuffs. Approx 11.5oz.
