Samurai Jeans was established in Osaka in 1998 based on the concept that jeans ultimately have no value unless the creator and wearer are united in their commitment. They strive to create fabrics with unique texture and atmosphere, pushing the envelope of what is possible with denim by paying close attention to the provenance of the cotton types they use, their characteristics, the shape of the threads they spin, while also striving to use traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving techniques rather than the more modern and generic methods found elsewhere. Indigo and light blue Herringbone Work Shirt (SSS25–AHB)
Based on vintage work style specs, triple–stitched rolled seams. This herringbone twill fabric has been treated with a beautiful pale indigo dye. This “kasezome” dyeing is done in–house and by hand, carefully taking into account the temperature and humidity on that particular day and passing the threads repeatedly through a vat of dye to slowly darken the yarns to perfection. The threads are hand dyed resulting in a colour more durable than products that are dyed after being finished, allowing you to enjoy the gorgeous colour and quality far into the future.
