Samurai Jeans was established in Osaka in 1998 based on the concept that jeans ultimately have no value unless the creator and wearer are united in their commitment. They strive to create fabrics with unique texture and atmosphere, pushing the envelope of what is possible with denim by paying close attention to the provenance of the cotton types they use, their characteristics, the shape of the threads they spin, while also striving to use traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving techniques rather than the more modern and generic methods found elsewhere. Olive Heavy Back Satin Baker Pants
This fabric is an original back satin selvedge made of thick yarn, sulfide–dyed in an olive color and then tightly woven. The selvedge has Samurai’s silver lame thread to represent the Japanese sword, and can be seen on the sides of these pants. These are based on military baker pants, with a sleek silhouette that isn’t too wide. The iron pine tree buttons are tucked to better match the heavy fabric, and you can look forward to years of fading as you wear these pants in.
