Beach Tar FMP Overshirt
Mesh Pocket overshirt inspired by an East German cellular cotton resort shirt vintage find. The body of the shirt is cut from Majocchi polyester–cotton high tension gabardine, panelled with raw organic cotton open cell mesh panels overlapping to form hand pockets
Mesh panels expose the construction of the garment and any garments worn (or not) underneath.
Signature overlap back seam construction is adapted from bib overalls design and the cuffs of Lee chore coats.
Shaped and faced cuffs and hems, concealed front placket inspired by formal Italian tailored outerwear.
Garment dye fully dyes the cotton mesh panels and sewing threads, but only dyes the cotton fibre within the intimately blended gabardine– polyester fibres remain olive green, giving the fabric a special mottled appearance similar to a covert cloth or marl jersey.
