Denime is one of the “Osaka Five”, the denim companies that helped establish Japan as the leading producer of vintage inspired and faithful reproduction of the denim from the USA in it’s heyday. Established in 1988 by Yoshiyuki Hayashi, Denime’s production is now under the stewardship of Warehouse Co. who after much research are reproducing the “Denime garment” as of the past. Research and recreation, “Made in Japan”.

 

220XX (1954 MODEL) One Wash

 

The “XX” series is a project that uses “Vintage Banner” denim fabric from the 1920s and 1930s. Uncut threads are extracted from these denim fabrics, and Kurabo’s analysis reveals that brown cotton is added to the American cotton used at the time, faithfully recreating the uneven shape of the threads. XX denim is used to create vintage sets symbolic of each era.
The silhouette is more relaxed than the 1947 model. The offset back center loop and other features give the jeans a golden–age feel.
