Samurai Jeans was established in Osaka in 1998 based on the concept that jeans ultimately have no value unless the creator and wearer are united in their commitment. They strive to create fabrics with unique texture and atmosphere, pushing the envelope of what is possible with denim by paying close attention to the provenance of the cotton types they use, their characteristics, the shape of the threads they spin, while also striving to use traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving techniques rather than the more modern and generic methods found elsewhere. Indigo Wide straight World War II Jeans (S3100)
17oz Zero+ selvedge denim / slubby yarn denim bag cloth / reddish brown iron pine buttons / copper SAMURAI CO rivets / exclusive flasher and leather patch / initial serial number included / high rise, slightly wide straight fit
A relaxed straight model from the World War II era, made of Zero+ denim. The silhouette is a new model based on the WWII model S3000VX, with a slightly deeper inseam and a slightly thicker waist. The buttons are made of newly–created iron, aiming for the color tone of “sentoku”, a technique seen in Japanese tea ceremony utensils in which lacquer is baked onto a copper base. As the buttons are used, the luster settles down a bit and a beautiful patina starts to appear, allowing you to enjoy changes in the look of the metal. The pocket bags are made of 8 oz. slubby thread denim which is tougher than conventional fabrics.
