Samurai Jeans was established in Osaka in 1998 based on the concept that jeans ultimately have no value unless the creator and wearer are united in their commitment. They strive to create fabrics with unique texture and atmosphere, pushing the envelope of what is possible with denim by paying close attention to the provenance of the cotton types they use, their characteristics, the shape of the threads they spin, while also striving to use traditional Japanese dyeing and weaving techniques rather than the more modern and generic

Beige Tropical Weather Smock Parka (SJSPK25)

Tropical weather lobby fabric / Urea buttons / One wash

A smock parka made from tropical weather fabric. It features original specifications from the 1940s, including a double–layeredplacket to block gas from entering. It has a silhouette with a slightly loose fit.This fabric was created by analyzing military fabric developed for tropical regions over half a century ago and then combining it with Japan’s unique weaving technology. The fabric is similar to (but not the same as) a Panama weave, and the unevenness caused by the slub yarn and the mesh–like texture make it comfortable to wear. History has already proven the usefulness of this kind of fabric, but Samurai have added their own unique twist and technology, and manipulated the gauge of the fabric at their Banshu factory. This is the only mill in Japan with the required technology – a place with 100 years of history – to create a fabric like this with even better breathability than the original

Postage within the UK is £8.00 and will be provided by DHL EXPRESS – a fully tracked next business day service. If we receive your order by 12.00pm Monday – Friday, we will get it to you next business day. If you order after 12.00pm on Friday then your order will leave on the following Monday.
