*A Vontade draws it’s inspiration from the utilitarian aspects of classic US and European Military, workwear and sportswear items. With meticulous attention paid to the smallest details they strive to create a garment that still has worth and relevance with the passing of time and developing still greater character with wear. Designed by Kazuyuki Yamakawa and always made in Japan.

Indigo 1940’S Coverall

This denim jacket is inspired by US coveralls from the 1940s.The material is 9.5oz indigo denim, a reproduction of the denim fabric of a certain workwear brand from the 1950s. The warp threads are not the long, uneven threads common to work denim, but rather a thread that reproduces the short, uneven texture that sometimes appears as imperfections, while the weft thread is a nep yarn dyed an exquisite ivory. The design follows the simple specifications of the wartime era, with two pockets and four buttons. While attaching the sleeves is usually the last step, the body and sleeves are attached first, and then a rolled stitch is used from the shoulder to the cuff end to create a beautiful shoulder line.

Postage within the UK is £10.00 and will be provided by DHL EXPRESS – a fully tracked next business day service. If we receive your order by 12.00pm Monday – Friday, we will get it to you next business day. If you order after 12.00pm on Friday then your order will leave on the following Monday.
