Although established in 1979 by Shigeharu Tagakiand it wasn’t until 1986 that Studio D’Artisan created it’s iconic DO–1 Jean. Having worked previously in France, SDA takes it inspiration from a French perspective on Americana and through their own production always looking to push beyond the original. A vanguard product with the soul of Made in Japan.
Used Wash Denim Jacket (D4536U)
This denim jacket is sampled directly from 1950s archive pieces, beautifully replicating the authentic fading of the era. Back then, youth were utterly captivated by this style, adopting the denim jacket as a symbol of rebellion and nonconformity.
SDA have meticulously recreated the unique, oxidized, and dusty undertone characteristic of denim from that period. Its crisp, dry–touch texture feels just like a true vintage find.
The silhouette is finished in a regular fit that stays faithful to its vintage heritage.
