Tender has its roots in antique workwear and machinery, especially from the Great British Steam Age. An important face of Tender’s English–made clothing is the nurture which is put into the clothes: in their research, design, manufacture and wear. Tender’s goal is for the owner to live with their clothes, wearing them hard, but respecting their provenance and the stories they have to tell.

Rinsed Wool Stripe Cotton Tattersall Isosceles Shirt

The Isosceles Shirt is cut as a T shape, with horizontal shoulders and very wide sleeves. Once the sleeves are fastened to the body, the machinist sews a straight line from the top of the shoulder to the cuff, angling the shoulder and tapering the sleeve. The resulting flap is pressed flat and sewn down along the edges, creating an isosceles triangle with its apex at the neck and its base at the cuff. Large pockets are sewn at the front and the sleeves are finished without openings, so that this style works well as a lightweight jacket. Fabric is cut sideways, and sewn in USA with 100% cotton thread. The front is fastened custom–made oversized black ‘jigger’ buttons, flat two–hole buttons designed to support a more decorative button from behind a soft fabric. Puckered Seams.

Postage within the UK is £10.00 and will be provided by DHL EXPRESS – a fully tracked next business day service. If we receive your order by 12.00pm Monday – Friday, we will get it to you next business day. If you order after 12.00pm on Friday then your order will leave on the following Monday.
