Although established in 1979 by Shigeharu Tagakiand it wasn’t until 1986 that Studio D’Artisan created it’s iconic DO–1 Jean. Having worked previously in France, SDA takes it inspiration from a French perspective on Americana and through their own production always looking to push beyond the original. A vanguard product with the soul of Made in Japan.

 

Kasuri Some Beach Cloth Jacket 

 

This fabric was developed during the early 1900s on the East coast of the United States by twisting two different coloured yarns that resulted in random colours appearing on the surface and was sought after for its toughness and warmth. Its popularity spread across the states with both workers. Out door enthusiasts and also surfers. This garment is finished a double structure with a wool fleece on the back.
