Inspired by military and workwear aesthetics. Innat explore many garment dyeing techniques such as botanical / Bengala / Kura as a way to deliver a variety of textures in their garments that reflect these proceses. The timeless designs and carefully chosen fabrics exhibit these diverse expressions when dyed, while conveying the essence of Japanese quality and a wabi–sabi spirit. “Never over produced”
Navy Reversible Hunter Jacket
A relaxed work jacket reconstructed from a 1950s driver’s jacket, combining tailored elegance with the practicality of workwear. While rooted in classic design, it is reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. The front features four pockets, including two–tier patch pockets inspired by vintage hunting jackets, offering both generous storage and layered visual depth. Constructed using a fully reversible double–face method, the jacket uses different materials on each side. Large patch pockets are also placed on the reverse side, maintaining full functionality when worn inside out. The outer fabric is a fine worsted wool & cashmere blend commonly used for suiting, while the reverse side features asashiko–inspired dobby fabric. The jacket is garment–washed and tumble–finished, which gives the wool a soft, worn–in texture, while the dobby fabric develops subtle puckering. Differences in shrinkage between the two fabrics allow the reverse side to naturally peek out at the hem, creating a distinctive layered appearance. A highly refined piece that showcases material contrast and the beauty of ageing over time
