ENGINEERED GARMENTS SAS JACKET

The original “SAS SMOCK” was issued to the British Special Forces, SAS (Special Air Service) , SBS (Special Boat Service) and the SOE (Special Operation Executive) in the early 40s and was a pull–over your head coat that featured two large pleated chest pockets along with two lower large bellow pockets, a drawstring hood, hem and waist. Manufactured in a printed brown and and green splintered camouflage wind proof fabric and oversized in shape for obvious practical reasons. ANDOVER JACKET

Andover Massachusetts is a small town in the North East of the USA and probably took it’s name from early European settlers who came from around Andover Hampshire in England. In 1948 Charlie Davidson opened a small store in Andover Massachusetts called the Andover Shop which primarily served the needs of the local Phillips Andover Academy along with carrying quality mens “trad style” clothing. In in 1953 he opened a second store in Havard square Cambridge Massachusetts which is home to the Famous University Harvard. This store served the satorial needs and wants of the college students along with Miles Davis Chet Baker, Stan Getz and countless others Jazz greats.
